About the Author
Jaclyn is an educator from San Diego, California. She has her Master's in conservation biology and has worked with conservation non-profits worldwide to create educational programs. She loves the natural world and hopes to inspire others to appreciate its wonders.

Jaclyn also loves to travel and has been to nearly 60 countries. She likes to hike, kayak and dive to see extraordinary marine creatures, and of course, curl up with a good book!

I have an autistic son and he struggles with accepting some things about himself. Reading this brought a big smile to his face and he loved that the octopus made friends! He also loves facts about sea creatures and was giving us all sorts of other fun facts while he was reading this! Opened up some great dialogue for us with this kind story!
